The AgMaps platform offers a comprehensive solution for capturing aerial imagery of agricultural fields utilizing drones. Users can design detailed flight plans and seamlessly connect their compatible drone models, including DJI Air 2S, DJI Mavic 2 series, and DJI Phantom 4 series. Once connected, AgMaps automates drone control, enabling the collection of high-resolution images during flight.

Key functionalities include the ability to drop pins at specific locations within a field. The system then directs the drone to each designated point to capture close-up photographs, facilitating precise site assessment.

The platform supports the generation of various types of imagery, such as visual RGB, thermal, and plant health indices. Export options allow users to save imagery in JPEG and Geotiff formats, streamlining sharing and further analysis via email or GIS applications.

AgMaps also enables importation of existing field boundary data from shapefiles, enhancing planning accuracy. Additionally, users can compile scout reports combining aerial overviews with detailed PinPoint close-ups for comprehensive field evaluation.

For larger terrains, high gain antennas are recommended to ensure optimal communication range. Terrain data pertinent to high-quality imaging is available for the continental United States, contributing to improved accuracy in diverse topographies.

The platform is compatible with mapping and scouting tasks on iOS devices, supporting iPhone 8 or newer, iPad Pro (2018 or later), iPad Mini (2019 or later), iPad (2020 or later), and iPad Air (2020 or later).
